Fall 2026

I took the Summer off from teaching and focused on some personal projects. I am working on a new panel for the tree. It is 18” wide and 6’ long! I am participating in the “You are Here” project created by Rachel Sager from the ruins project. Mosaic artists all over the country and the world who purchase a ceramic disc that says “You are Here” from Rachel, will create a mosaic around the disc that tells the story of where they are. Mine has the disc in the center of the shape of the land mass of Rockport. I have filled this area with the sea glass, pottery shards and shells that I have picked from our local beaches over the years. Of course it also has imagery of birds and fish which I have an interest in and kitty paw prints to represent my many companions over the years. After it is completed it will be listed and geo located on the ruins website. Pretty fun idea!
The stepping stone molds from Ukraine are in and I have started the patterns inside with some smalti. The new molds will be filled with concrete, and will hold up to being driven on.
The panel will be finished with smalti and the fish will be grouted.

On the eco printing front I finally printed a tee I was given for my birthday with local sumac leaves in the dirty pot and made my own dye from fresh indigo leaves. I then dyed some scarves I had already printed with great results.
Come an see the fruits of my labors as well as new mosaics and jewelry in the studio. I look forward to seeing you on the Cape Ann Artisans Tour on October 10 and 11! pamstratton63@gmail.com.
